The Seminary holds daily chapel services for its students and staff. The school pauses each school day for about 30 minutes to focus its attention specifically on God. Everyone is expected to be present at the chapel service, which starts immediately after the second lesson each day. Students and staff are asked to approach the chapel quietly and respectfully in preparation for a time of mediation and worship. While the reading of scripture is central, the chapel services vary in character as follows:
- Monday: group devotions (each class and Faculty/Staff)
- Tuesday: praise/song service
- Wednesday: prayer service
- Thursday: meditations led by Faculty members and students.
- Friday: combined service with the women’s school (Hausa).
Students will be assigned to lead/conduct chapel services. Every chapel service is followed by a time of announcements pertinent to the VTS community.
